Ghost siteAccording to the Merriam-Webster dictionary a ghost is - among other things - "a disembodied soul; especially : ... an inhabitant of the unseen world or to appear to the living in bodily likeness". As told on the front page, this site was originally planned to become the sales platform for the CV 707 STRAPS that never came to be. The header you see above depicts the front of the bow of the CV 707 Vesikko. This picture is the center of the visual appearance of the CV 707 STRAPS pages that were never published. Like the tip of an iceberg, it represents the fact that there is - or was, more to this little WIS site that first meets the eye. Indeed a gruesome amount of work had been carried out before the launch was abandoned: planning, researching, tooling, sourcing... Developing work processes, testing designs and materials, learning from old school saddle makers... All that and more. Maybe this work will fruition something later? Anyway, below you can see sketches for the visual appearance of the unpublished CV 707 STRAPS pages. - A ghost site unseen on screen which yet appears in bodily likeness in the visual design of this W®I(S)TORY site.
